You should assume that all materials available through the Fanciers Breeder Referral List are protected by copyright, whether or not they contain a copyright notice, unless an express written statement accompanies such Materials indicating that they are in the public domain.

This includes the copyright to this compilation of data, which may not be reproduced in any way in any form without the express, advance, written permission of FBRL Services.

What does this mean to you?

If you are looking at the FBRL as a way of expanding your mailing list, do not use this site for that purpose. It is created to help people find cat breeders. The compilation of this data is protected by Internet copyright law and may not be downloaded or used or otherwise copied without my advance, written, and express permission. It is a violation of copyright law to do otherwise and violators will be prosecuted.

This site is the result of years of hard work, and taking that work for your own use is not fair to me.

This includes but is not limited to: using it to build your own customer database to promote goods or services, contacting customers to advance a political agenda (however seemingly well-meaning), complaining about someone or something. The legitimate use of this service is to contact individual breeders to find out information about a breed and/or cats and kittens for sale.

In the privacy statement to my customers, I state I will do my best to maintain privacy for them. It also states I will not send them advertisements. I expect site visitors, even commercial ones, to respect my privacy policy.

If you have an announcement about a product or service you would feel would be of interest to FBRL subscribers, please send me an email with a paragraph describing your product and I will include it in the FBRL Announcements. (In other words, if it's a new cat toy or litter management system, great! If it's a dating service, you're out of luck).
